You are not trash, Obi. You are a human being who is a miracle of creation, whether you believe in divine creation of life or whether you follow through the arc of the universe from the big bang until the present day, your existence and your perception are such miraculously unlikely things...you are a living gift.

All people are, the difference becomes what they do with that gift. Those who abused you and interrupted your development, filled you up with fear and self-loathing, they abused their gift of life and time on earth so badly...that was their mistake, their error, their fault, and you got innocently pulled into someone else's fall from grace.

That's a LOT going on, and to feel as isolated as you do makes it even worse. I'm so sorry for the loss of your mom and all the heartache for your dad and the rest of the family. It's also heartbreaking to me to see that yours isn't a family where it's easy to open up about how everyone's feeling and just let it all out. I'm really sorry to hear about this!

Thanks for all the hard work you've been putting into the logo. That's a great project, and your workmanship is amazing. I'm still struggling with how brave I am to wear a shirt out in public identifying myself as a survivor, but that's MY problem and no detraction at all from this project. I'd buy one anyway, even if I struggled with wearing it.

Finally, I'm glad you let it out here so those of us who are sort of clueless can really know what's going on. I know it hasn't felt that way of late, but you're never alone. Sending every good thing your way.
