For the last 2 nights the BBC has shown a documentary called Catching Britaind Pedophiles.I't been on before but this was an up-date.

The main abusers were two men, Levine and Roemig, who conducted a 25 to 30 year campaign of abuse, rape, photographing and filming of young children.
Hundreds, of children.
They weren't the only ones, just the apparent ringleaders.

The pedophile squad of Scotland Yard spent over two years following, and eventually getting these men to the Old Bailey, the highest court in the land.
The heartbreaking work these few detectives did was heroic. And faced with the complete lack of remorse from these abusers I could not have done their job, not without losing it and striking them.

The Judge duly listened to the evidence and gave Levine 6 years and Roemig 3 years, and they will be on the sex offenders register for life. ( And that's no relation to the victims register, although life applies to that as well )

After the trial Detective Andy Murray made this emotional statement to camera.

"6 years is laughable really for a man that's been abusing children for 25 years.
It beggars belief really.
How they can destroy peoples lives - we've found children almost commiting suicide - they've had broken relationships - divorced - cant maintain sexual relationships with a partner because of the abuse they've suffered. And really it's them that are let down, not us. We just do our job. We put the work together and put it before the court.
It's them that have been let down the victims this abuse.........(long pause )....and I'm upset"

He, and his squad are rightly upset. They were shown in the film to be dedicated and fully aware of what we as victims have gone through. And I have nothing but admiration for them.

But if they're upset, I'm fucking livid !
What do we have to do to drag these judges kicking and screaming into the real world ?

I know being a judge can be a tough job, but these are no-brainers...

I meant the decisions to impose more punishment, not the judges.

Or did I?...

Surviving SA is a lot tougher!...

Dave.

You wont want to believe what I'm going to write but sadly it is fact.

One of the counsellors from the organisation I hope to work with when fully trained, helped a client of hers take his case to court. He had been repeatedly raped. The judge remarked in his summing up and direction to the the jury that "a little buggery didn't hurt him".

I was sickened when I heard this. I feel this is the attitude that stops us survivors pusuing our perps through the justice (joke) system. I know it's part of the reason I don't want to report my perp.

I also wonder how many high court judges are going to be rounded up during operation ore. Apparantly there are a few to be exposed. Does it work like free masonsry? A case of looking after fellow peodaphiles.

This hole system just makes me feel so sick.
