I don't remember where I read this and trying to find it's source was aggravating ... and pointless.
I believe it to be true ... and it really is an expression that applies to everybody living with a trauma ... and here we all know what ours is.
We all try ... and success and failure is measured by each persons definition and not what others think or may believe it to be.
It's also a nebulous thing and can change in the blink of eye.
Do the best you can in the moment ... hope for a success tomorrow ... and strive to make it last.
When all is said and done ... what choice do we have.
In spite of it all Charles ... you are heading in the right direction.
