I am so very, very sorry that you had to go through that. Your father is an evil person, not worthy of being called a father. I cried as I was reading your post. I do not have the words to express the feelings it brought over me. I am glad that you found this site, and know that here at least you can find some comfort. The guys here are wonderful caring people, and I found that at least for me, it is a safe place to be, and to share. You are a very brave young man.

Life can truely be a bitch. We have all seen too much pain, we have all seen hell in our lives. We have all survived it and we will in time heal from it. No matter what your abusier did to you he could enver touch your core, your inner self, your soul. Their is always a past of you that no one can touch, that no abuse could reach.

From the chatroom you seem like a nice guy. You are only on the start of your journey to healing. Things do get better over time. This site can be a great launching point for you in your healing. You will over come this abuse and yes you will be happy once more.

It's a good place to go and be able to get many peoples perspectives on an issue very fast - and it seems that there is less confussion over others understanding what you are trying to say in there cause they are able to ask you more questions that help to bring better answers

I am so very sorry for what your Dad did to you - even his being drunk is no excuse at all for his actions against you - family is supposed to protect - not hurt - my family hurt me too a lot growing up - it's almost hard to believe that family could do such things to us and yet sadly it happens more often that either of us know

When I look at my face in the mirror it looks normal but Charlie is gone from the inside. I don't think he knows his way back

Charlie, what can we say except that we know. We don't want to know....we wish we didn't know....we may know in a little different way....but we know. And when we hear your story we hurt all over again for the first time. We hurt for you and we hurt for us and we hurt for all of those little boys everywhere who have had or will ever have to go through it. You are loved, Charlie, and you are welcomed. God, we wish there was no reason to welcome you here. But, since there is, come in, sit down, get a hug and cry until it feels better. I'm very sorry for what he has put you through, and why you have need to be here. I know that 'sorry' is nothing really, that no words can make anything better, and it is pointless. But at least you have some solace, maybe, in knowing that you are somewhere where people understand quite much of what you have been through. No one person is just like another one. But there are always people here who can understand many of your thoughts, fears, and feelings.
