damaged beauty

There is beauty to be found within being damaged. I don't know how or why I just know there is. There is also pain and anguish chaos and confusion found within being damaged. But somehow someway beauty is still yet to be found within it interwoven intermingled and intertwined. Being broken and damaged can coexist within beauty even if found in moments seconds or even minutes. Beauty is there to be found within the damage if you look for it. Sometimes it can even be felt. Experience comes with a price but if someone is willing to listen to that experience then the beauty can be found within the price of admission. The beauty that comes from being damaged if allowed can ultimately help another pick up just enough pieces of their damaged life to be able to see their own beauty within the wreckage. ~Nathan Tice 3/1/2017

There are gems within a damaged person that are shadowed by pain and confusion.
Often it takes the light of knowledge from another soul ... an understanding one or not ...
to shine a spark into the darkness and illuminate a glint of what is hidden there.
More often than not this happens by chance.
Knowledge is not always deliberate ... nor is it always kind.
One can only hope that what looks at first glance to be a dirty black lump of coal ...
buried deep under the pressure of anguish over time ... once found ... is in realty a diamond ...
just waiting to be polished.

This really holds true for me.
The more humble I became the more I was able to point out
the strengths in those people around me ; as well
as giving myself more self-compassion I was able to reciprocate
