Maybe this post shouldn't be here. I don't know. My T says it is related to the csa.

So I am asking for anyone who suffers from this disorder and is willing to talk to PM me.

I don't know if it is appropriate here (though I could be wrong). Because even though it evidences itself in matters related to SA, we don't all have it.

I just need to talk to someone who understands this. I have so many questions. The alters are emerging and I have no experience with this.

If a Mod moves this elsewhere, I will understand. Just send me a PM as to where.

I do not suffer from dissociative identity disorder, but I'd like to give you some encouraging words. From what I've heard, it's a very treatable condition that involves intergrating the personalities into one.

Also, everyone, it doesn't matter who they are probably dissociated in a way from the abuse. It's a coping mechanism. It's nothing to fear. I think fear is what keeps those personalities from intergrating, but I could be wrong.

Keep your head up and get in touch with your feelings.

I have heard of this disorder and feel that yes that applies to me. If I suffer from the same I use my Dissocociative episodes (numbing out)in a positive and enjoy them when I put my headphones on......and forget about everything.
I maybe totally wrong, but id do have an abnormal interest in my diagnosed mental disorders (PTSD, clincal depression and have also experienced a course of ECT. Yep that still use it here in the UK)

I'm due to see my consultant Psychiatrist next week and going by past appointment Ill spend our consultation time telling him what it is.

D.I.D. is an extremely important topic involved with this. I know that many people here have it. I am trying to learn more about it because someone very close to me has it also. I know a lot about it, but would like to know more. I am particularily interested in hearing from anyone who has two or more identities. I have also been trying to tell her how common this appears to be as a result of CSA.
