courage of a coward

good and evil fought their war
and tore my soul in half
my tears are dry, i cry no more
i look back and i laugh

all the dangers i've survived
the traumas i've endured
the sicknesses i've overcome
the illnesses i've cured

all the lessons that i've learned
the wounds that i have healed
the scars of wisdom that i've earned
on my life's battlefield

god was always good to me
i'm my own worst enemy
a casualty of victory
a victim of causality
