i went to chat last night,havent been there for a while,,not because of anything that happened there just i lost my password and the chat kept changing.lol.if anyone has been staying away from chat ,for whatever reason ,please come bak ,its still the coolest place ,and there are many people there who never post on the board ,last night was like going home for me i logged on at about 11 pm ,i was still there at 4 30 am! we talked ,we laughed ,and abuse hardly entered the conversation .just good friends hangin together .there is nothing to fear in chat ,last night was the best night in a long time for me,to everyone that was there ,thank you . there were old members i knew well and brand new members ,who showed the courage to be there and open up. what if the new guys went there and nobody had been there? i think chat is one of the more valuable resources at the site

I am coming back as soon as register again. I changed servers from the last time I was in the old chat and cant remember the old password, so I have to register under a new password. Hopefully it will be recognizable.
 
heh you too ,i couldnt remember mine either!!lol i got a new one for the new site then back to the old ,forgot both! i had to get a new name also ,cause mine is already taken heh ,shadowadam is my handle now

You must have been seeing me in there! I've been told I look like a potted plant. That was what my wife said when she was frustrated with seeing me sit here day after day interacting here on MS. I spent every possible moment here back when I first found this place. I even spent moments here that weren't possible! It was like breathing air again for the first time in years. I think she was afraid I was going to take root!

that chat was a great place, but then you get nutters who you put on ignore, and they would flame you.

They would pick on anyone they thought was fair game, and it was like me fighting them, when I just wanted to talk sense.

Larry will tell you what it was like, but hey, I got to learn the hard way, but I would love to go back.

I think the dynamics of the site change as the membership changes and as the site admin and mod team develop better ways to cope with crises.

We are dealing with very hot issues here, and the marvel is that the site is as calm as it is! I'm very pleased with the way things are now, but as always, we have to appreciate that we are all going to be in different places in our recovery.

There is always a chance of a bad moment here and there, and in such a case I think we have to be understanding. If the problem appears to be more than that, then I think the answer is ALWAYS to report it to the mods and leave it alone.

At the end of the day, the truth of the matter is that the site and our chat room are a lot safer than the world we have to maneuver through ever day.

I think you would like chat as it is right now Ste - let's ditch in there one evening together.
