Can you please let us know which subforums you are thinking of dissolving?
Because honestly, I suspect you're thinking of dissolving the ones I use the most.
My response above is a knee-jerk, that inner boy feeling shut down -- so that's what you're hearing.
I just made a post to demonstrate where I think tagging will not work for all cases. I like the feature, I do, but it's not a safe space. Still bothered about the value placed on "Traffic Deserved" when it's not about the traffic. At least in a dedicated room is away from all the noise and feels safe? I don't know . . .
A good idea, I went through and tagged my previous posts related as well.Well, I went back and looked at all of my own threads to see which ones in the "Male Survivors" forum I could label with ANY of the current labels (pretty easy task using the "filter" feature at the top of the page).
I was only able to label a few posts (mostly clergy abuse), but gave me ideas for additional labels beyond what has already been created. I added those suggestions to the new "Label" post.
There is an organization called S.N.A.P. that deals only with those abused by priests or nuns Contact them by joining and you will information about there meetings on zoom There are meetings for those abused by priests and meeting for those abused by nuns Etc Meetings consist of those at the meeting getting 5 minutes to tell their story without interruption or judgmentWhy isn’t there a Clergy Survivor public topic area?
Has this never been requested? We have every other subject covered, and anything close is “Spirituality and Survivors” buried in the Member only Forum area.
I find it really hard to search the success of others, or relate to on MS whom have experienced abuse in Church, or by a Church Leader, etc. I have no idea whom has survived this kind of abuse until I post something, which inspires someone come forward.
Just like other focused abuse subject areas, there is a lot of valuable information and feedback to be had. I’ve kept myself quiet on this pretty much since I got here, it does bother me. I can’t imagine it is anymore triggering than child abuse in any case.
It feels like a buried subject, like what the churches do to cover up.
I’m certain we could establish topical rules.
Thanks for hearing me.
