CBC Article: Woman who spent years scrubbing explicit video from internet urges tech firms to make it easier to remove

This was difficult to read, but it is an important story and there were many aspects that I could relate to. I am thankful that Canadian authorities are taking a stand, that the CBC is covering this issue, and that there seems to be more cooperation from tech companies that they need to do more to address this issue. Nevertheless, it was still creepy, disturbing, and disheartening to read how pervasive this crime is.

Saddening thing is i’m in images and videos that were circulated by my step dad. Makes me numb to think how many looked, shared and did perverse things to them

I am so sorry to hear that, Littleblue. I cannot imagine how that has affected your relationship with your family and feeling of safety, trust, and security. I was also a victim of child porn and had dozens and dozens of men view me streaming ... I am not sure if they recorded me or not, but the main thing is for the both of us: it doesn't do us any good to spend so much energy imaging who else has been viewing our images or where they are now. It won't help us in our recovery journey nor will it change what happen. It is something that is unanswerable and only causes further trauma.

I hope that you are able to find some peace and closure.

HUGS

It’s horrible the not knowing what is around still and where.
You are right Little Blue it is horrible.

Sorry for all you and Callum went through and I am sorry that your images are still being passed around.
The damage they do to us is hard to fathom.
But I am glad you are here.

I know for a fact that any type of porn stays around forever even "vintage" stuff. I was used in porn for years in the late '50s and '60s and I know there is still a lot of my stuff on the internet - I've seen it. When I first fell apart in 2011 I went looking for my stuff and found a lot of photos but I never found any of the movies made with me. I was warned off that search when I finally got into therapy by my T. I didn't realize how illegal it was, I guess I was still too naive. Since photos of me were used in those boy magazines in the '60s it was legal to sell those magazines on corner newsstands in NYC. I've seen plenty of my stuff being sold back then. I've found photos of me on the net in my short stint trying to find my stuff in 2011.

From what I found out these days is that there is a lot of "vintage" child porn out there and I'm sure the hundreds of movies I was in are also out there someplace. I have learned that there are people or sites on the internet that will sell child porn if there is money in it. I really don't want to see those movies I was in since they were bondage and torture shit but I'm sure it's out there. It seems that violence sells big. There were always 8mm home movies made when I was taken to johns. All you had to know is where your local photo lab was and you could get anything developed for a price. I also know that organized crime was behind all that since they ran NYC and the skin business (at least the village where I lived with other kids in an apartment) in the '50s, '60s, and '70s, maybe longer.

There is a book called "The Mafia and the Gays" https://smile.amazon.com/Mafia-Gays...=The+mafia+and+the+gays&qid=1633192816&sr=8-1 that describes organized crime in the city back then and their involvement in all types of porn. While I didn't really know much about them as a kid (except from a TV show or two) back then I see that so much of what I was involved in was run only with permission from them.

So I'm sure both vintage and current child porn is out there because the money is out there. Having MasterCard cancel their cards being used on the site and Visa temporarily suspending their cards being used on the Pornhub site is promising. It's also a big step because I'm sure they lose a lot of money not letting their cards being used on that site. Porn and child porn is big business. Now if they'll only do that on the deep web where most of the bad stuff is.

While I have found many of my photos on the net I never had a chance to go search the deep web. My T put an abrupt stop to that. But I'm sure that anyone who has had photos or movies made of them that shit is out there on the web someplace. A rule of thumb that I see is that if it can be sold it's out there.

Thank you JayBro for these two threads. Child porn on the web is very important and it needs to be stamped out or at least made known that it exists. It's the only way that companies can be forced to stop supporting the enormous child porn business. I was hoping that this forum would have had more traction when I helped start it because anyone that has had an indecent photo or home movie taken of them that shit is probably somewhere out there on the web someplace. Magazines like the shit from NAMBLA are still out there. There are Magazines still sold on the web from Europe out there. There are kids still being exploited here in the US and in other western countries. There is a ton more stuff coming from the "poor" countries of the world.

I saw a video documentary about streaming video from an Indonesian country where a mother was interviewed about her daughter or son being live-streamed on the internet. Her answer was that kids are used to being naked in her area. Really sad.

I am so sorry to hear you guys have had to continue to suffer because of the exploitation. That's terrible and hadn't realized it was so prevalent.

I was down at a nudists beach when I was 14 and with a friend who was 13. we were approached by a man willing to pay us to take pictures of us naked and doing stuff. We said not today and left. Yet, because of my prior abuse, I was so tempted, and tortured at the same time.

Hey Bornfree,

I'm glad you passed up the temptation to take the money. I don't know what you were offered but I know that getting set up in the '60s was worth around $25 which was a lot of money to a 12-year-old, who never got any money from his foster parents. But it could have turned out to be a long-term problem being involved with him. You could have disappeared or ended up a missing person. A very good friend of mine and his family were also naturists. From when I was 9 until I was around 24 I was going with them to their beach club when I was able to. The beach club was the one place I felt safe and I could be without my clothes on where nobody went after me, except once when I was around 12. After the second time the man got to me I was able to give my carer his information and he got it to stop. Lucky you two and lucky me.

I think if nudism whatever you wish to call it were extremely common place, sexual assaults from teens to younger children would be very minimal. It would also decrease the tendancy for men to try to do CP because there would be less interest!

Hey Bornfree

Sorry, this post is so long but I just had to get my thoughts out.

I agree with you in many ways. I just don't know how much it would be fixed. If you're talking about a guy fiddling around with a kid maybe. I do think that most pedos will still want to touch. But I don't think that the really sick stuff will disappear. I found last year in my foster parent's photo album with mounted photos of them and relatives from before I was born. So nothing of me. When I was going through and scanning photos so I could send the photos to my cousin (my foster father's younger brother's son) I found a stack of 10 photos just tucked into the back of the album. They weren't mounted and they were stamped "58" meaning they were developed in 1958. The other photos were from before WWII and just after the war. Eight of those photos were nothing special but two photos were of me at two years old (or younger) standing in the neighbor's backyard with my pants and underpants down around my ankles. One photo had me holding both arms up in the air while the other photo had me holding my t-shirt up around my chest. Not your innocent naked kid family photo.

Yeah, I felt very safe when I was with my friend's family and even at the beach club. That incident I had did drive home the fact that I still have to be careful. Sex went on for 8 years on a steady basis that I remember until we moved when I was 9. I found myself wanting to be by the neighbor being sexually molested rather than being beaten by my foster mother. I would get hugs and kisses, cookies and milk, and love over their house. What a trade-off, sex instead of daily beatings.

Picture the photos of a guy with his penis inside a 6-month-old baby or a young toddler. Those people are sick and will never change. I don't know what created them in the first place. Photos of me were being taken for boy magazines from the time I was 8 until I was around 16. The first time I was sold was before my 10th birthday. During the four years of high school from age 13-17, there was never a full week of school. I was working for three days during the week and on weekends. There were weeks I never went to school at all. So you might ask how did I get promoted each year? I'm sure that the person who sold me found a way to fix that also. But I consider myself lucky because the three other kids my age that I shared an apartment with in the village, when I was 12, didn't go to school at all since they were 9. They worked almost every day. Two of those kids only worked the streets. This was all because business was booming. There were enough sick people and never a shortage of kids to satisfy them. I played stickball with other street kids.

There had to be at least 50 of them in the village mostly around the 4th street area and west of the eighth avenue and the piers. This is not around Times Square, Central Park, or other parts of Manhattan, just the village. Most of them also didn't go to school.

Driving or flying away for weekends or long weekends happened pretty often. Parties, where kids were auctioned off, happened from time to time and always on Thanksgiving and New Years. Having booze or Hershey's Kisses poured or shoved up your rear was considered a lot of fun for party-goers. They drank and licked what came back out. These people would never be able to last in a naturist or nudist environment. These people are sick and I don't think that they can be fixed either.

What I described just now was my environment and the environment of hundreds of other kids that ended up in Manhattan. They existed in the "game" because there was a demand. As for an uncle Bob who would rape his niece or nephew, I don't think he can be fixed either.
