Just a quick note to say that my sister Cathie ("Lady Rock" here) is in the hospital. She has been having some problems with her knees, and Thursday she was taken to the hospital in great pain. They have operated on both knees and they say she will be fine, but right now she's in pretty bad pain and not a happy camper. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. Thanks.

Much love,
Larry

Larry,

Best wishes to Cathy. I'm sure she'll come through fine but it sucks that she's in pain. I'll be sending out good vibes. Send her a cyber hug from me.

ROCK ON........Trish

Larry, please tell Cathy that we're all cheering her on here at MS, and hoping for a speedy recovery for her.

Thinking about you both, take care.

Cathy,

Please know that you will be in my thoughts as you mend. And I do, sincerely, hope the mending will be quick, and that your knees will be better than they were! (Hugs to you Larry, too!)

Thanks everyone, I just now spoke with Cath and read out your messages to her, and she asks me to pass along her greetings and love. She's back home now and, believe it or not, up and walking with a walker. They entirely replaced one knee, but in doing that they don't cut any muscles or tendons, so it is possible to get back on your feet again pretty quickly.

She has to do exercises and such, and her husband Ted (took early retirement recently) is there for her, so that's good. She will be off work for three months, but expects to recover fully.

So greetings from "The Rock"! She doesn't expect to be on the PC anytime soon, but in the meantime she sends her love.

Much love,
Larry

Dear friends, I wanted to get to the computer to first thank you for your thoughts and prayers. And also to report to you that I have been working hard on my physical therapy. My immediate goal is to get to from beyond my back porch to the end of the sidewalk with my new best friend, my cane. One day at a time, step by step. Patience. By next spring, I hope to be biking and canoeing again. Knowing all of you are thinking of me certainly helps. Hugs to all of you! Love, Cathie

Cathie,

Glad you are doing well enough to use your humor! :D Hope the recovery and rehab goes well for you. Still have your name on my list.

I could have sworn I posted on this thread several days ago, but I don't see it anywhere. Odd. Oh well, they say the mind is the first to go... Be glad you're not afflicted like I am!

Lots of love,

John
