Can Male Survivors who Abused Change?

Please help me. Is there any hope of change for a 28 year old man who was introduced to naked girls from age of 3,various other sexual abuse instances by females, was forced/coerced by an older boy at the age of 6 to mutual oral sex, and subsequently enganged in abusing others? Is there any statistics of abusers not continuing to abuse? Are treatment centers different in their effectiveness? Is suicide the only option?

 

My son is only 12 and he was abused and then became an abuser. We have been in counseling for a couple months. The counselor has told me that he will and can get better but it is a long road and if he wants it and has help he can make it. This is very difficult but I will not give up on my son.
