Can I make a suggestion please?
In many posts over the last few months Ive noticed that survivors have been referred to as them or they Sometimes, this is the appropriate thing to say if talking about a general behavior shared by the majority of survivors, but a lot of times it comes across as accusatory and a lumping together of all survivors into one mold. Thats not fair. Survivors are people, with no more or less personality traits and behaviors as they rest of humanity. More importantly, theyre the men we are in relationships with or married to and that we love. Asking if they always do this or that or saying that ____ will upset them or could cause them to get angry sounds so awful to me. It reminds me of when I was a girl. If my mother heard me talking to a sibling or a friend and I referred to her as she boy did I get in trouble. The first thing I heard was, Who is she? The cats mother?

This doesnt happen all the time and maybe its just a matter of semantics or maybe Im just overly sensitive to it, but I thought Id put it out there.

ROCK ON........Trish
