Men,
Yesterday there was a call for blood, heads to roll we were ready to tar and fether anyone and everyone we "thought" was responable for closing the chat room. I know I was one of them. When the call went out for Fred to step down lots of us were willing to jump on that wagon and ride it to where ever it was going. So now I make a CALL TO ARMS lets find some way we can help. There is more to helping this site than sending money or becoming a member. Ask someone on the Board what you can do to help keep this site open for all of us and for those who will come. Send them a brief resume listing what skills you have and which ones you are willing to provide and about how many hours each month you think you can put to this effort. We were so willing to point the finger of blame yesterday; are we just as willing to pick up the yoke and help pull the load? I for one am. You dont have to do these things for a free membership to the site....do it because of what you have gotten from the site up to this point and then try to give a little back. We all support eachother here in the chat. Are we as willing to support the very place that has given us a place to get that support. Thanks Brothers for hearing me out. I hope that the same passion that was expressed yesterday will be shown on this issue as well. This is our site, lets show the world that we will not go quitely into the night.

I don't know why the chat room is closing down. $$$$ or something else. I just don't understand. i will do what ever i can to make sure that MS continue to help survivors with there healing. I just saw the chat room post this morring and it was locked so I could not give my input. It realy upsets me to see what is going on here.
What ever help is needed I am here.

Go look on the "Off-Topic" fourm. Fred explains in detail there. I would go to the last page and read his last post. If you have a few hours a month then please find someway you can do just that. Thank you.

How sad that yesterday some of us were willing to kill over something. But for this no one is willing step up. So I'll list my skills here and see if anything can be used to help the site out.
Typing
Wet tounge to lick stamps
Clear Table that could be used to stuff flyer's
Unlimited Long Distance (U.S. and Canada)
5 years experence "cold calling"
3 years customer service
Basic skills on most of Mircosofts programs (excell, power point, etc)
Willingness
Disair
Reason to

How about some of ya'll list some of the skills you have that might help. And see if the Board can use any of them. Thanks

Can lick envelopes
will talk about abuse anywhere (not shy and dont care who knows about me)
Amy willing to go where angels fear to tread
Love a challenge
Have 38 years of experience talking to businesses
Will sit on any committee and do anything that will make MS a strong place

Am old :D

Oh I cant type worth a damn :p
 
I am not at all sure I have any talent. I will of course be willing to do any menial task required, to distribute flyers or fill envelopes and mail them. I am not comfortable to think of talking of all this openly yet.

Leosha you with no talent. My brother you have talent written all over you. You are a teacher an artist and a survivor and you have the determination for all three.

did i mention "researcher"? :D

a little tounge in cheek there. i have worked in leadership roles before, do have administrative traing honed in 5 yrs of progressive responsibility, and i really do love to research and summarize with my own flair for words and thoughts. if that can prove useful here, let me know. sorry, i do not feel comfortable with public yet but anything i contribute can be used for the benefit of this site. take care, all.

Thank you for posting the skills you have that you are willing to share. Did you read Fred's post in the "off-topic" Forum about the new Leadership Team MS has started? We are looking for men willing to join. Read it and see if you fill you can add to it.
