Boys Wrestling

Boys Wrestling
I am a wrestling coach in a high school. We have locker room talks often. My principal does not want any coach or teacher to discuss sex. I guess it is the fear of promoting it.
However, there is a certain level of intimacy in the locker room. Growing up I had some of the best talks while showering or at the lockers. My boys discuss things and ask me questions. I warn them about the dangers of sex (stds, aids) and of course getting a girl pregnant. I also talk to them about "Bad Situations" because I don't want them to get caught up in a scenerio like I did with a married/sepearated woman at age 15. No one warned me and I just want it stated. The boys ask me questions and I discuss things responsibly without too much personal detail. I think people think these strong muscle boys cannot be molested. I want them warned and prepared.

Jake,

that is of course right, just as many men have been molested who thought they were too big.
You could tell them this.

I am hypervigilant and aware of all my surroundings at all times, most people just aimlessly go through life in abandon, a lot of them are kids.

You could make a safety awareness by asking them to write down all the unsafe places they might find in life.

I bet they wont spot the obvious ones like toilets, cutting through parks alone, and not being aware of when you are being followed, and what to do if you are.

There are hundreds more things to think on that one, so make up your own list,

Jake,

You are fighting the good fight in an inoffensive way. You are perhaps having a profound affect on the lives of at least some of your students. I wish you good things as a result.

Lots of love,

John
