Most pedophiles and child abusers that enter the prison system are put in what's called seg or segregated. So the thought of them getting into GP is just about nill. That's not to say there is not between the prisoners and those outside. When they get outside sometimes they find life has harsh lesson for them. Sometimes nothing happens sometimes they pay with their life.

I was a victim of childhood sexual assault by female that was extremely sadistic as far as I know she never did face any justice. Part of that is on me because I never told. I live with a guilt that I let my monster destroy some other child's life.

You were a child not an adult. Children are not to be expected to act as adults. It wasn't your fault in any way. It was all hers.

NEW YORK, does that. To put a sex offender in prison as punishment is ok. But to hope they are attacked and taught prison justice in my book is wrong. THE FACT, that some of them were victims themselves, some have mental illness. Some have not been taught how to manage there feelings and wants. That leaves maybe 3% as mosters who want to harm a child. AND have harmed more then one victim.

I have been raped twice, abused by a doctor, baby sitter (female), a boy scout master , a priest , a Stanger and still have compassion for SO's. They are to be locked up and treated for their crimes. They should be given long sentences and thou who are mentally ill need to be placed in a mental hospital for treatment. And not release until they are well. And then aced on SIST, for at least 3 years. And if they break any rules even if it has nothing to do with a sex crime they are to be returned to prison for many more years.

Then we need to educate kids, about real bad people adults and other kids. That it's ok to tell an adult you trust if someone has hurt you no matter how embraced or shameful you feel. That's the only way we can help you feel better. Also teach teenagers what happens when you get into legal trouble, what prison is like. And what happens when you have a record in life and if you end up ad a RSO. How it will follow you for the rest of your life. Revenge is not good enough
We have to change the system so others are saved. We can't change what has happened to us. We can learn how to deal and manage our lives better. We need to learn how to.heal. I working on this like the rest of you.
