The situation ultimately is not amenable to opinion. Facts still must be ferreted out with possible testimony and trial. I personally try to avoid forming opinions without facts. As ugly as the conjecture can be, it is still just that.
Churchill said it best: The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it, ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. Once the truth is known - if it ever is - the opinions are warranted.
