Guys, I'm sure this has been stated before. But I have to ask.

I am doing some classroom reading, and I came across a definition of "bibliotherapy". It is the act of reading for emotional therapy in which a character with the same problem as the reader finds a solution.

I read "In my Father's Arms" about six months ago, and I couldn't put it down. I came into his world, and that is something I rarely do with books. The closest I've got to it recently is "The Flock", a book about a woman with multiple personalities.

I dont' want a "how to be a man" book. I want someone's story, someone who was broken, someone who didn't try to beat down his feelings with his own accomplishments, but was just as lost as I've been. Maybe he did make it after it all, but don't offer me a Lou Holtz story, or a "great leader" story. I just want a "normal person" book. Are there books out there like that?

Thank you for helping me.

Alfred
