Being ill sucks, waiting for surgery...
I was supposed to have my knee replacement surgery this morning, and be in my hospital bed by now. Nope, I'm stuck at home, in the same situation as I've endured since this past Saturday. That evening I got a fever, and really deep chills. The chills do not go easily, and I've endured them 3 shivering times that I can recall. I didn't think 100.8-101.8 could give someone such deep chills, but it has me. Maybe it's age? And the cough, nasty and unhealthy sounding, and finally Monday I started the runny nose. So, It's a bad cold.
I had my flu shot, and I heard this thing has been going around, but who gave it to me???? Damn it's crappy to get this 5 days before scheduled surgery. I've postponed it. It's now for April 26th. I don't know if I'll be well by then, except after last nights horrid temps, it seemed to have broke this morning? It's only about 99.8 for the highest today. Which is what it is currently. I'm due for Tylenol in 20 minutes.
The cough is a little better today too, at least I hope so? I'll know overnight? The runny nose is just a bit better too. So, I didn't go to urgent care today, like I thought I might? I can't afford the damn copay, so when I started to feel a bit better, I just let it go to wait this out. I've still got 8 days.
I've eaten 10 oranges at least, had Cranberry Juice and eaten a lot less. I'm hoping I'll soon lose 10lbs too, let alone get better from this illness?
I couldn't manage staying on task these past days, and just today, and really just now felt up to posting.
