Back together
Hi all - just an update - my partner and I reconciled.
The whole episode definitely gave him a big scare. He eventually realized how much his anger was costing him. He came to a real realization that he realy was being abusive.. was a hard realization to have and that he knew that he was in danger of losing me forever if he didnt shape up.
I dont expect that he will never get angry again, but I do know that he is thinking more about his actions and really was shaken up by this experience.
He has since made and kept several appointments with his therapist and they are discussing his "mom" triggers (see previous post where I refer to her as an "abandoning authority".
