An integral component of the MaleSurvivor mission is to encourage the development and completion of excellent research in the area of male sexual abuse. Another key element of our mission is to be an advocate for boys and men who have been sexually abused. These two aspects of our mission are complementary - more information will help the community of boys and men with sexual abuse histories - and, at times, conflicting - an individual may respond to research involvement. Because of the complementary nature of these two parts of our mission, we always are excited to post announcements on our website from investigators seeking research participants. Because of the conflicting nature, however, we have developed a set of requirements that all investigators must follow before MaleSurvivor posts a recruitment request.
