This book of poetry has been written entirely by male survivors. I am one of them. The day I received my copy for being one of the poets (of two of the poems), I was esctatic.

It is a very good book, and most likely the only poetry book written by a group of men who are survivors of abuse.

No Words

There are no words to
describe my pain
explain how I feel.
Tell you I'm hurting.

There are no feelings
left in my body
they all left
The day you hurt me.

There are no tears
to be shed
because there are
No words inside me.

No words only numness
feelings severed from my body
ripped from my soul
By your bare hands.

It is real tough looking at some of thepoems in the book, survivors have been hurt so badly. Some of the poems ring true for me, it is increadible.

It is getting hard to buy this book except through the NOMSV bookstore. I checked Borders and Barnes and Nobles. They did not have it and said they were not sure they could get it. Amazon, through our bookstore is sending it, but after a delay. Used copies may be available though.

never sold at major stores, Jill gave each poet a personal copy, it took her a long time to find someone to print the book.

I am glad she did, and proud of the two poems I wrote for her book. I hope more survivors buy the book.

I've read excerpts at Amazon.com and from some website Mike Lew (author of "Leaping Upon the Mountains", another great book with practical words of help and support from male abuse survivors all over the world)was connected with I can no longer remember or find (just try mikelew.com). Thanks for sharing your poetry. I've been thinking about getting that book and need to do so. Thanks again.
