Denver is a cool place to have the conference. It'll likely attract a lot of participants. While I realize the conference in Minneapolis was somewhat cash-strapped, and the attendance was not what many of us would've liked, I neveretheless think that it'd be a shame to wait until 2006 to hold the next conference. Mostly, I think there's a momentum to having the conference every other year, and that momentum can be lost by skipping a step and waiting until 2006. In the last couple of years, the whole issue of male sexual abuse has come out of the closet and many men need to know that there's a welcoming space for them to now gather. The conferences provide that open, sacred space. Some brave pioneers have paved the way to welcome many men who are just now beginning their recovery.
