An open apology to Don-NY/May I stay?

To Don-NY:

I am very sorry for my response to you in another thread. It was very inappropriate for me to even hint at self-harm. Or to suggest that you might be the reason for my leaving this site.

I don't wish to leave. I depend on you guys a lot. So to Don, to Andrew, and to others who have taken me to task...my sincere apologies.

Is it okay if I stay?

Jasper

Jasper:
I can't speak for Donald but I've been impressed by most of your posts. I think the generational issues of late have complicated things but your heart seems to be in the right place.

Trust the forums and keep going on here. Everyone is here to recover.

Ken

Jasper,

Yes, of course it's OK. It's great!

Donald

Yes, Jasper. We insist that you stay!

Regards,

Jasper,
A minor dust-up is hardly a good reason to pack your bags. Much of our strength is in our diversity. All survivors are welcome to be here and come and go as they choose. Take care. Peace, Andrew

Jasper
as Andrew says "A minor dust-up is hardly a good reason to pack your bags."

And it's part of our learning, part of our recovery.
We've lived odd lives as Survivors, low self-esteem, anger, and all the other crap that seems to go along with CSA.
Part of that is often not reading the signs that other people put out, and it's also very hard to do online. So we're bound to come across situations that we misread, and then react to in what is possibly not the best way. But that happens in 'normal everyday life' - whatever that is?

We get over it, we move on.

I'm glad you're staying.

Dave

Jasper,

Sorry, you can't leave - while you were distracted posting about the secrets of gay guys I nailed your boots to the floor. :)

Larry

Edited because I typed "books" instead of "boots". Damn! Sometimes I think academics are just hopeless!!! :)

Having different views, opinions, disagreements and agreeing to disagree is the sign of a healthy maturing community, especially when problems get sorted out and put into perpective.

Through this we all grow and learn.

Freudian slip Larry ? :D

Dave

Oh my God!!!!! My slip? Is it showing? That Freudian one with the Jungian lace - it's my very favorite but I usually don't dare wear it in here. Don't tell Jasper and those Village People over in the Gay Forum - you don't want the stampede, believe me Dave.

Larry

Don't be hard on yourself, Larry. I thought it was very apropos to type "books." I am, after all, an author.
