An early Christmas gift

An early Christmas gift
Hey Guys, I was just thinking that maybe the time and season has come for us to think more about our commonalities as people, rather than our differences. And I'm not necessarily just referring to our common history as male survivors. I'm suggesting that we are all very human first and victims second, and that our basic needs are very, very similar. And we attend this discussion forum to meet some of those needs i.e. validation, understanding, hope, support, friendship etc. We may be tall, young, gay, pimply faced, fat, straight, middle aged or any combination of these things in differing degrees, but we are all basically people searching for happiness and purpose. We are so lucky to have this medium - imperfect as it may be - to be able to meet, share and communicate. And with this posting, and in recognition of the season and the difficulties this forum has experienced in recent weeks,I am hoping to be able to start a thread that has an emphasis on our strengths and virtues, and that gives each of us an early Christmas gift. Here is how it works. Many of us have an acquaintencship with at least one or more members/people/participants/moderators in this discussion forum. I would suggest that we take the time to purposefully compliment and comment on the things we admire about a friend/member who frequents this forum. Perhaps we'll be able to end the year on a real high ... and I gotta a good feeling that it will feel great to be giving. I'll start:

BrianZ. I've only been attending the discussion forum for a few months, but I have been in awe of your brutal honesty and willingness to risk yourself to help others. I am sure that if you lived down the street that we would be friends, or at least I would hope so.

Cement. You are an amazing writer. I love reading your words.

Take it away guys.
