Let’s celebrate masculinity

Let’s celebrate the fact that we are men. That our masculinity has many parts. Let’s celebrate the beautiful and awesome power of our masculinity; our power to create, to build, to protect, and yes, to nurture.

Let’s celebrate men’s importance – our necessity

Let’s celebrate our bodies. Our magnificent, strong, beautiful male bodies. Our powerfully vulnerable bodies. Our fat, short, tall, thn, muscular, or average bodies.

Let’s celebrate our skin. Our protective yet vulnerable skin. Whatever color, whatever zits, freckles, scars, moles, or tattoos we may or may not have. Our powerfully beautiful skin.

Let’s celebrate our hair. Our red, gray, brown, black, blonde, dyed,. long, short or even nonexistent hair.

Let’s celebrate our penises. Our beautifully masculine, powerful genitals. Our long, short, big, small, thin, thick, or average penises. Our veiny, not veiny, straight, curved, circumcised or intact penises.

Let’s celebrate our emotions. Our strong and vulnerable emotions. Our emotions’ similarities and differences from women’s emotions.

Let’s celebrate our spirituality. Our ability to see God as male, female, and neither. Men’s inherent yet non-exclusive divine nature.

Let’s celebrate how we love. How we protect. How we nurture chiildren. Both in ways women also can and in ways women cannot love. Our compassion. Our constructive nature.

Let’s celebrate how we show affection. How we hug, kiss, and yes even how we make love. How we love our wives, girlfriends, boyfriends, husbands, family, friends, and strangers. How we love ourselves.Let’s celebrate our strength and vulnerability in holding or being held by other people. In protecting, loving, andallowing ourselves to be protected and loved, both by women and by other men; romantically and otherwise.

Let’s celebrate our strength and vulnerability in how we kiss, how we hug, and yes our strength and vulnerability when we have sexual intercourse or are fellated. How all these things express trust in others. How that expresses others’ trust in us.

Let’s celebrate everything raw, powerful, strong, vulnerable, everything beautiful and awesome about being men.
