"a very strong man"

"a very strong man"
Today I had a meeting with a state representative in regards to a work matter. I was glad I chose to wear my MaleSurvivor shirt today. (I rarely wear t-shirts to work). It didn't take him very long to notice the shirt and ask about it. In the hour and a half we were together, we took care of the matter for the meeting and discussed male victims of sexual abuse. We discussed changes to the state laws. We discussed the lack of resources for male victims. I offered to be available to speak before the house on these matters. After it was all said and done and we all had to go on to our next appointments, the state representative told me that I was "a very stong man". Damn right I am. This shit isn't going to keep me down. No way, no how.

Bill,

Way to go, man! That is great. Let's hope he takes what he learned and does something with it!

And you are a strong man! Guess it's all that coffee :D !

Marc

Bill the more I know about your courage the more proud I am to call you brother.

YEAH BILL! YOU ARE STRONG!

I didn't know we had shirts, where do I get mine?

Bill,

On behalf of all of us, THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

You make all of us proud, you are a brave and strong man!

God Bless!

PEACE!

TJ

Bill,

You are stronger than he knows. Do you remember the old thread about what to call ourselves? We ain't "victims" (no longer, right?), "survivor" seems to define us by what was done to us, "thriver" sounds somehow clumsy. But you are doing much more than "surviving." We do need a stronger, brighter word for such a man as you. Out of the terrible evil done to you comes new awareness of how important it is to protect children. Thank you.

Joe

Bill,

If I wore a hat, it would be off to you right now. Dam right you are a strong man! I admire and respect you very much, and appreciate so much your presence in my life. Thank you for all you've done for me and my friend, and continue to do. You are a great example to me.

Bill... god, you impress the hell out of me. Watching your transformation since I first came here has been amazing.

It gives me hope.

I will never forget how I felt when you stood up for your own son... it felt like you were standing up for the 4 year old that I was. It was like you were standing up for all of us... for every one of us who didn't have someone to fight for us when it happened to us.

Thank you for your commitment to this place, to this cause, and to all of us. You will only keep progressing in this work and in your growth.

Thanks again.

Bill

Thankyou, that really does show your strength

Where did you get the T-shirt?

Regards

Archnut
"And all that was left was hope"

Let me agree with the state rep, Bill you are a very strong man. And I man that I admire, I know that I wouldn't have been able to do anything like that. You know how I say I'm jealous of you having a 4 year old son, well if theres any guy who deserves to have such pleasure in his life it would be you. Your son is blessed to have a father like you.

I AM PROUD OF YOU, MAN

Jason

If Bill is referring to the Minn. conference shirt, we have a bunch of them somewhere. I think they were going for $10 or $15. I'll email Fred and Trisha to see how folks can get one.
