Through various connections I'm aware of a perp who has come to light through links with NAMBLA and abuse in the area he lives in. Sadly I have first hand experience of the effects of his abuse.
At first I didn't think making others aware of his actions was having much effect. And had to watch him publically groom people on user forums was terrible. He ran a reptile shop and offered help and guidance to youngsters who he would then ask to his home / shop.
Over time I collected evidence. Contacted the police, the local media in the UK and the users of the forums. I thought it wasn't having an effect.
Today I find out he's shutting his web site, his shop and 'retiring' from forums. Yeah I'm sure he'll resurface. But I've bought some time for potential victims and I'll be waiting for him....
