Some of you will have read the book, and some will know the answer. But just think about this when you are ready to give in to hopelessness.

This thing all things devours:
birds, beasts, trees, flowers.
Gnaws iron, bites steel;
grinds hard stone into meal;
slays kings; ruins towns;
it even beats high mountains down.

Brian

I have several ideas what it might be ..... but haven't figured it out exactly.

Thanks for the post.

What has it got in it's pocketses?

When I was a Navy corpsman we also served veterans. One of my patients lived on skid row. It was my responsibility to give him a bath that morning. When I approached him in his bed with a pan of bath water he said to me, "Look, water sinks ships, rusts nails, and drowns people...I DON'T LIKE WATER!!!"

That's how his, and my, morning went. He didn't rust anymore than he already was.

The next morning I had to take his temperature the hard way.

His reaction made me wonder if he was a fellow survivor.

I learned some new cuss words that day.

The corridor outside our unit was about the length of a football field. Many, many, many others were likewise educated as well.

Godzilla, is another answer. But, yes Time. The Point of this exercise, is one, to get you thinking, and two, to get you thinking.

I've gone back and read nearly every post on this site. A common question asked is "when". But as you fallow some posters who ask this question you begin to see change, you begin to see people placing anger and shame where it belongs. Rome wasn't built in a day, we didn't become the way we are overnight. All things take time.

Give your self that time.
