a proposition

a proposition
i kno that a similar topic was posted in the unmoderated forum but i really wanted this to be read and seen, besides i dont think i will offend anyone.

I prepose that we post, maybe on our profile, or just in the forum, times and days in which we are likely to be in chat.
That way people who work late or rarely get to chat can have a rerfrence of when the best time to catch someone would be.
....just to accredit Nathan, i think he first suggested the idea

Sounds like a reasonable thing but let me play the Devil's Advocat for a moment.

Would some of us them pick and choose who we would decide to talk to and not others. Would they then feel shunned if nobody entered chat when they were there. More importantly, how would they feel, even if it was an accident.

It might also set up situations where some might perceive it as an opportunity to vent with someone they feel has slighted them. I am not saying this is the case just posing the secenario.

Chat, I think, by it's every nature is and should be spontaneous. Kind of like knowing everyone but never knowing who of us you will chat with.

Could it become cliquey. I do not know.

Maybe I am out to lunch. It has sometimes been suggested that I am there most of the time. Ah the self put-down again.
