I know that there are almost 3000 members registered.

Not all of them post here for their own reasons, but we have to hope they are OK.

It must be hugely difficult to moderate a site such as MS, there will be mistakes made along the way in all areas, just as we have all made them.

I have had my own ups and downs with them, but I have always been open and honest to anybody I meet on these boards including them.

We all have to look after our own safety here, and report anything that we find offensive, and it is not easy, a thing that offends me, may not offend another and vice versa.

I worked for 3 years doing advocate work for people and I found it hugely difficult, but it was rewarding in what I did learn, I burnt myself out trying to help people get the best they could.

This is not about me, because it is OK when the place runs well, another question when it does not run quite so well, and it gives rise to unique issues that the greatest thinkers could not even encompass.

I would like to shake their hands on doing such a fine and difficult job whilst running their own lives also, it must be a huge strain.

I learned more about who I really am in a couple of years, than the other 40 living in the dark,

thanks for MS,

ste

I agree. A big thanks goes to the mods.

Ste - I couldn't agree more! Well said - somtimes it's very easy to forget that without the mods working in the background, we would not have this place of safety! I know what they have done for me personally, so I owe them a great debt of gratitude.

Thanks for raising this topic - best wishes ...Rik

I totally agree. It's a tough and delicate job and has to be coordinated by people with their own busy lives, living thousands of miles apart and representing all sorts of perspectives on survivor issues.

Well done, and many thanks,
Larry

It's interesting that now I'm here as a regular user without access to the the Mod's forum and all that goes on there I'm absolutely amazed at how little friction and discontent I actually see on the forums.

I know how hard they work and that some very difficult decisions have to be made. It's a very responsible position that requires a huge amount of time and effort to enable the smooth running of the whole site. So I'll join Ste in thanking the Mod's anytime!

I don't doubt the Mod's forum is as busy as it was, if it's all quiet then it must have been me causing all the problems :D
