A day with my son

My son is four, recently divorced and on the second day of a 4 day stretch of my time with him.
We had an amazing day of being together, playing building forts out of sheets and sleeping bags creating a fortress in our imagination.
The day was filled with good, in so many ways, learning words, hugs, laughs, he is safe and I successfully communicated that as his dad I love him and that he is important to me.
A guy who lacked those things provided those things. My heart filled for him and for the boy I was, the boy I was fuels me.
