SB,
Just from what I got by your post, I made a few observations that may help you understand what I "think" the author is saying. I may be totaly wrong but please bear with me.
Yost states that about 10-15% of his case load were molested by women. He states that these men "CAN" develop (not necessary WILL develop) an inflated sense of power and "MAY" consider themselves God's gift to women. Although he does not provide any statictics on the percentages that will react this way, I don' think that he is talking about ALL men who were abused by women.
I would also guess that the men who DO develop this false sense of power over women are not the kind of men that would seek help and support at a website like Male Survivor. They do not yet realize that they have severe problems. They are too busy enjoying their superior lives.
One of the most difficult parts of being a survivor, spouse and/or significant other, of a survivor, is the feeling that people don't understand us. Sometimes out of frustration, and without realizing it, we jump to conclusions that may not necessarily to true (and that may cause us unnecessary anger and frustration). I hope that you are able to see this article for what it is; just one persons opinion.
On the other hand, you could be right; Yost could be a quack! I just thought I would offer a different perspective on this.
Recovery is Possible!
