Oh, it seems we're getting information about LGBT from different sources. I pretty much only follow T issues. There's a group in the UK that's been trying to spread the ideas you've just written, that Trans is a Trend. They want their advice to be distributed to UK schools. It turns out that the trans and ally community in the UK have seen is as lies and hating LGBT instead of helping.
There are too many persons who make up derogatory issues and news about LGBT people all around the world. I focus on the US and UK.
We have Focus on the Family, the Alliance Defending Freedom, the Family Research Council, American Family Radio, James Dobsom Family Institute and many others are staunchly anti LGBT. Much of their focus is political in nature, and their influence spikes ant-transgender people laws all across America. Like the bathroom bills, considerations for healthcare for trans people, and the new rejections in our Military. All of this is confusing to me, so I can imagine its impact on transgender people.
Conversion therapy is being banned in many states too, which must be stirring anger in those circles. I can imagine being of faith, which I am, and wondering what place these anti groups have in a loving church, and inclusive church? I find my heart breaks for the whole situation.

I'm sorry that living you true self has caused so much trouble in your life. You really should not have to deal with the problems you are dealing with. My heart goes out to you...
"Trans as a trend" Who would WANT to be trans? A person may be a different gender than their bodies and it creates all kinds of anxiety.
I found the LGBT community, although left leaning, is a very good community. It isn't just about social and political action; its about support for one another.
I lean right myself, but starting to see how the left has a point on a lot of issues. I don't think they arrived at them because they are socialist or communist; or they hate God or anything or just 'want to kill babies'. Forcing issues to be just black and white is how political groups get money and votes.
