When I first found this site, I found my way around, gradually got the general idea of how things worked here!

I once asked the question..I feel like shouting it from the rooftops...should I, or shouldn't I?

Now, I'm in a much different position, court case is over??? I had a week off work in January, then 3 more days off before the end of March, all linked to the court case. People were asking questions!

Do I go to work, and just get the whole section together, tell them what I've been doing for the last 2 years and why?

Or, as Vic and Bob would say..do I just 'let it lie'?

Best wishes...Rik

Rik,

You know them best if you want to tell them then go for it. If you don't then don't. Do ask your self why do I want to tell them? Is it cause I want something from them ie support or understanding or is it cause you want them to know more about you?

Whatever choice you make am sure it will be the right one.

lots of love, Nathan

Rik,

I think you should ask yourself what telling or not telling them will mean for your recovery. Suppose telling them will make you feel, for example, that you are standing up to Fowler and even naming him. Does that help you? If so, then sure, go for it.

Put yourself first, and weigh the immediate satisfaction of sticking it to Fowler again against the possibility of negative repercussions later. If you tell people, you are basically handing over to them a pile of information most of them won't know what to do with. There may be innocent misunderstandings, cruel jokes, prejudice, and so on. But once the info is "out" you can't claim it back. You would just have to deal with these problems as they arise, regardless of your own personla timeline.

Much love,
Larry

Rick, I have been on a rollercoster ride with exposing my life in a book, written with a pen name. I can't imagine telling the world yet. Larry brings up a good point, once it's out your timeline with dealing with it will not be in your control so to say. I have faith in your strength but we can only take so much at one time. You are like our spokesman and I am very thankful for your efforts, keep up the good work but give yourself time to build strength before you jump into the next battle.

Rik,

they will pretty much know already, but look out for mixed reactions.
All folk are different, and you will know who your friends are,
