Question 1: I recently donated to be a member; but I'm not for sure how that is different than before when I was just signed up as part of the discussion board. Example, I tried to access the members only boards but I can't? Am I doing something wrong?
Question 2: I log on to the chat room but it doesn't do anything, just clears my password and leaves my username still in the box. Am I logging in wrong?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i'm having the same two problems. someone help us :)

I too cannot access the "members" boards, yet I was sure I signed on with the intent of being a member. I emailed someone at the contact address but so far have not heard from anyone. What gives??

As far as the membership kicking in, I too had the same problem not too long ago. Try sending a PM to one of the moderators, who will then contact the proper people to put the membership through. i think things are just going a little slow right now... As far as the chat log in, are you sure you are typing the right password when you log in? just suggeting that cause i had a problem with that when i first started going there. For problems with chat, I would send a PM to Thad, and he might be able to help you out. Good luck!

peace,
cpt.

OK bear with me guys cause it's been awhile and I'm a little rusty on some things.

1. Donation Membership is different in a couple of ways.
  • You do have additional ability to access closed areas, however, some of those areas may still require a special request from a moderator. (This is to allow protection of you, our individual members privacy)
  • You just donated to a very worthy cause which helps this site continue it's good work! :)

2. Access to chat requires only ID set up. Note however, chat requires two things minimum of the web browser that you are using...
  • Cookies must be enabled in order that you maintain your login while on the site.
  • Chat utilizes the blessed (I use this term loosely) Java.

I'll be the first to tell you Java can be a terror to work with sometimes.

Some things that you may want to try to get it to work...

Delete your cache file on your web browser. Check to see if you are using a Java application in your web Browser (Microsoft quit using it in Internet Explorer for awhile so you may need a workaround.) and if so, clear that cache as well and make sure that there is space available to work with.

Now mind you I don't mind assisting sometimes myself now and again but I don't want an avalanche of requests. However, if you need some help with any of this after you've determined that you are clueless and need help (It happens to the best of us) shoot me a message and if you have Yahoo, MSN or AIM Instant Messengers, I'll help walk you through some things as i can if it's kosher with the powers that be.

Marc :)

We really are working to tighten up the response time between payment and member area. If you havent yet gained access, send me a PM. As far as chat goes, that is actually a separate registration, and if you still have trouble, you can PM Thad who is chat admin. He is a great guy and would be glad to help you out.

take care,
