I told my best friend about the abuse and now we are no longer friends.

maybe your friend just needs a little time to process what you told him, he was probably shocked

Sorry that happened. You find out who your true friends are when things get tough. Hang in there, God is faithful. He won't you endure more than you can handle.

Yes, I agree with what Sinkbackintotheocean said, give him time to process it. There is the saying - if you love somebody (and in this case brotherly love) if you love somebody set them free. And if they love you, they will return

Thanks for the quote and the scripture. @SinkBackIntoTheOcean thank you also.
I’ve been doing a lot of thinking in this isolation which is making the good and the bad come out.

Happy isolation Sunday morning to everyone. Spending time secluded from the masses is a very good time to spend time with God. Take a moment and reflect on Him and His goodness. I can say from experience that He is a loving and merciful Father. I am Sharing g a few praise and worship songs this morning . A few oldies but goodies, a few songs that continue to draw me close to God. Enjoy

One more guys - and I will say that it possibly might be a trigger to some who had clergy abuse - it's called "Little Altar Boy" by the Carpenters. It's not about any abuse, it's about her asking him to pray for her since she says "I've gone astray". Her emotion was amazing. (She died of anorexia).

"Love is not a victory march, its a cold and broken hallelujah."

I'm always searching for love. I'm drained, physically, mentally, and emotionally. In these moments I need God the most, I cry a cold and broken hallelujah.

Now Suzanne takes your hand
And she leads you to the river
She is wearing rags and feathers
From Salvation Army counters
And the sun pours down like honey
On Our Lady of the Harbor
And she shows you where to look
Among the garbage and the flowers
There are heroes in the seaweed
There are children in the morning
They are leaning out for love
And they will lean that way forever
While Suzanne holds the mirror

You can't say no to hope
Can't say no to happiness
...
This is an alarm-call
So wake up, wake up now
Today has never happened
And it doesn't frighten me

Watched the video, dang that's crazy haha

A really intense song, buddy! Love is not a victory song, it's a broken hallelujah

Turn, turn away
From the sound of your own voice
Calling no one, just a silence
Run to see you at the edge
Fall off the avalanche
Turn away

Hold, hold the light
That fixes you in time
Keeps you under
Takes you over
The wall that love divides
Between waking and slumber
Turn away

Turn, turn away
From the weight of your own past
It's magic for the devil
And betray the lack of change
Once you have spoken
Turn away

Turn, turn away
From the sound of your own voice
Calling no one, just a silence
Run to see you at the edge
Fall off the avalanche
Turn away

Hold, hold the light
That fixes you in time
Keeps you under

Between waking and slumber
Turn away

Turn, turn away

And betray the lack of change
Once you have spoken
Turn away

I like these slow paced songs. Thanks for sharing

Once when our mother called
She had a voice of last year's cough
We passed around the phone
Sharing a word about Oregon
When my turn came, I was ashamed
When my turn came, I was ashamed

Once when we moved away
She came to Romulus for a day
Her Chevrolet broke down
We prayed it'd never be fixed or be found
We touched her hair, we touched her hair
We touched her hair, we touched her hair

When she had her last child
Once when she had some boyfriend so wild
She moved away quite far
Our grandpa bought us a new VCR
We watched it all night, but grew up in spite of it
We watched it all night, but grew up in spite of it

We saw her once last fall
Our grandpa died in a hospital gown
She didn't seem to care
She smoked in her room and colored her hair
I was ashamed, I was ashamed of her
I was ashamed, I was ashamed of her

This one is for all my supportive brothers on this website.

"We can be heroes, just for one day."

This line reminds of male survivor (this website). After talking to some of the guys here, I realize that we are together in this battle. You guys are heroes, even if just for one day. Hope you guys like the song.

This is our Music from A Bachelor's Den
The sound of loneliness turned up to ten
A horror soundtrack from a stagnant waterbed
And it sounds just like this.

This is the sound of someone losing the plot
Making out that they're okay when they're not
You're gonna like it
But not a lot
And the chorus goes like this

Oh, baby
Here comes the fear again, oh-oh
The end is near again, oh-oh
A monkey's built a house on your back
You can't get anyone to come in the sack
And here comes another panic attack, oh
Here we go again

So now you know the words to our song
Pretty soon you'll all be singing along
When you're sad, when you're lonely
And it all turns out wrong
When you've got the fear

And when you're no longer searching
For beauty or love
Just some kind of life
With the edges taken off
When you can't even define what it is that you're frightened of
This song will be here

Oh, baby
Here comes the fear gain, oh-oh
The end is near again, oh-oh
If you ever get that chimp off your back
If you ever find the thing that you lack
But you know you're only having a laugh, oh

And here we go again
Until the end
Until the end

When the fear is starting to get to me, this song helps...
