I have a heart for guys like me who've suffered trauma, struggled in life, and who may feel like they're broken or damaged, thinking no one understands, or worse, that nobody cares. I've had those thoughts and feelings in my own recovery.
I work with men suffering symptoms of PTSD, men in general and veterans like myself (Marine Corps) though I specialize in treating non-offending male survivors of childhood sexual abuse, men who have experienced sexual assault and/or Military Sexual Trauma (MST).
Group: I've founded a FREE group called Unbreakable Men that is in the format of being "peer led" to serve male survivors. Since we are a population of men that is severely under recognized, I wanted to be resource as I've found that there really aren't any in my area. We hope to help guys speak to their experience as we find healing as men together. We do are best to create a safe, confidential, and supportive environment. Group is FREE meeting on zoom the 4th Sunday of the month (you do not need to live in CO) and in-person the 2nd Wed of the month (donations accepted for use of the building. No obligation. I do not keep any funds for myself) and meets just North of Downtown Colorado Springs near the Colorado College Campus.
For individual counseling I can accept Medicaid, Aetna, Cigna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, UMR, UnitedHealthcare UHC/UBH, Kaiser, and Self Pay[Sliding Scale]
