I am a clinical psychologist specializing in helping male survivors of abuse navigate the lasting impacts of trauma, anxiety, and identity concerns. Many of the men I work with struggle with feelings of shame, disconnection, or a sense of being trapped by painful patterns that stem from their past experiences. My goal is to help you break free from these cycles and reclaim a sense of safety, empowerment, and connection in your life.
In our sessions, I begin by listening deeply. I believe that understanding the effects of trauma requires a compassionate space where you feel heard without judgment. Together, we’ll explore how past experiences continue to shape your emotions, relationships, and sense of self. My approach is designed to help you gain insight into these patterns and develop the tools to move forward with greater resilience and vitality.
I use evidence-based therapies to support healing from trauma. My primary therapeutic modalities include psychodynamic therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I also specialize in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an approach specifically effective for addressing trauma’s deep emotional wounds. As an EMDR consultant, I provide training and supervision for other clinicians working with trauma survivors.
I hold a doctorate in clinical psychology from Long Island University, C. W. Post, and completed my internship at the Manhattan VA. My postdoctoral fellowship focused on LGBTQ+ health at the Chicago Hines VA. I’ve worked across nonprofits, hospitals, and research labs, including clinical trials with Yale University aimed at developing evidence-based treatments for LGBTQ+ individuals experiencing depression and anxiety.
I believe in the possibility of healing, no matter how long you’ve carried the weight of your experiences. While emotional pain is a natural response to trauma, with the right support, it is possible to reduce suffering and build a more connected, fulfilling life.
If you’re ready to take the next step, I’m here to walk alongside you on your journey toward healing and empowerment.
