Dear Members,

We want to share an interesting opportunity for MaleSurvivor members. A small group of psychologists, based primarily out of Yale University and including past president of MaleSurvivor Dr. Andrew Smiler, have received a grant to train individuals in delivery of an online group to help male survivors heal from trauma. This project will be delivered online by peers to small groups of male survivors. The groups will run for a one-and-a-half hours once a week for a six-week time period. Over the course of the three years of the grant, we hope to run 42 such groups. Below is more information. The primary investigators, Drs. Joan Cook and Amy Ellis would be happy to talk with you and share more details, or we could try and answer questions for you.

We are currently looking for folks who would be interested in becoming Peer Specialists (more information below) to co-lead the groups, and in a few months will be posting information for men interested in participating in the groups as group members.
