emdr

EMDR has been great for me. But we usually do no more than 30 minutes at a time with my therapist. It has really brought out important stuff I had not thought of in the past and needed to work through it. Very positive experience.

Yes, I've never heard of day-long EMDR. Frankly that sounds terrible. I would think after an hour or so you'd see diminishing returns.

I'm about to start EMDR myself - maybe as soon as Friday. I would be lying if I said I wasn't scared. But it seems like it could really administer the knockout blow to my stupid PTSD.

I went through EMDR therapy and found it to be extremely helpful. It removed a lot of my triggers and made living a lot easier. Of course, having an open mind is always a plus, but it is helpful with this form of therapy. It has made a huge difference.
